Multipart first gave MoD direct access to our IT systems nearly 30 years ago. Those dedicated terminals installed into MoD agencies such as ABRO and ESPPA in the 1980's have given way to web-enabled PC access now used by MoD Integrated Project Teams, Capability Management Cells and MoD Supply Operations. What had been one of the first national spares computer networks has evolved into the EAGLE system, used extensively by MoD Supply Operations across a number of contracts since 2001.
Today, EAGLE mimics the MoD SS3 stores management system's demand protocols and allows order placement by UIN (Unit Identification Number), NATO Stock Number, Theatre Code, Standard Priority Code and Required Delivery Date. These are translated into the appropriate delivery point (direct to Unit or via "Purple Gate", the local Military Transport Hub) and JSP336 delivery lead time.
Multipart was one of the first Trading Partners to use the Defence Electronic Commerce Service on a Tri-Service basis and is a member of the MoD's Electronic Business Capability Process Working Group, keeping ourselves at the forefront of MoD's E-trading Capability.
